For military families, finding stability amid relocations, deployments, and frequent transitions can be challenging. Beginning **June 1, 2026**, Scouting America is helping ease that burden by waiving the national youth registration fee for children of active-duty military, National Guard, and Reserve families.

Whether your child is beginning their journey in Cub Scouts or working toward the rank of Eagle Scout, this nationally funded initiative helps ensure that cost does not stand in the way of character development, outdoor adventures, leadership opportunities, and lifelong friendships.

✅ **Effective June 1, 2026**

✅ Waives the **$85 national youth registration fee**, reducing it to $0

✅ Available to new and renewing youth members whose parent or guardian is currently serving in the active-duty military, National Guard, or Reserves

✅ Available exclusively through online registration at[BeAScout.org]

✅ The Pack 301 Program Fee** is not included and will still apply


* The Military Family Fee Waiver applies only to youth registration. Standard registration fees continue to apply to adult volunteers.
